We’re in 2021 already, and if you’re among the people who thought that 2021 was going to be somehow immediately better than 2020…
You’re probably a little bit disappointed. Right?
The thing is… it never works that way. A single digit changing on the calendar doesn’t make everything better right away. We’re still going to have to ride this out.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though.
While you and I might not be able to do much about global events that affect us (and let’s not dwell on what exactly those are - we all know the challenges we’re facing right now), we can get our own house in order.
Would you agree that if you were able to dramatically improve your prosperity, you’d be much more prepared for whatever comes in 2021?
Obviously, it works the other way around, too. If you make matters worse by letting your prosperity slide, do you think you’d be much more exposed to all kinds of troubles next year?
Why am I talking about prosperity instead of money or wealth?
Because they’re just mere components of prosperity. True prosperity includes a lot of other things beyond just wealth. For example, true prosperity can include an abundance of time you’re able to spend with your loved ones. Or more time and resources you can spend on your health… improving the quality of your life further. As well as a lot of other things.
Think of lottery winners. They get money and wealth. But they don’t get prosperity.
So…
About 70 percent of people who win a lottery or receive a large windfall go bankrupt within a few years.
So what do you do instead?
First, realize that one of the most important factors in prosperity is timing.
If you’re at the right place at the right time, and you’re ready to capitalize on an opportunity, you stand a chance to increase your prosperity. If any of those factors are off, then you will have to wait till another opportunity presents itself.
For example, as I’m writing this blog, I’m sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that right now is the right time for you to start improving your prosperity.
Now, what are other factors that impact your prosperity?
We’ve covered timing.
I also mentioned opportunity. This doesn’t mean how good your timing is. If there’s no opportunity (or you can’t recognize it, or you don’t have the courage to take advantage of it), it doesn’t matter... the chance to improve your prosperity will go away.
Then there’s luck. Luck is not just timing. It’s often a chain of events you can’t engineer, and you can’t plan for. You can get prepared for it, for sure - after all, you know what they say - the harder I work, the luckier I get - but you can’t control it.
There’s also abundance-thinking: Your relationship with unfairness (most people have this completely backwards). Your relationship with money. Persistence. Ownership. Attitude. Intuition. Love. Knowledge. Tolerating uncertainty.
And so on and so forth.
For example, a lot of procrastinators have a inbuilt condition, where when things get too hard, they reach for their phone and spend a couple of hours on social media. Or, to give you a positive example, your prosperity algorithm will also determine what you do when you’re presented with an opportunity - do you take it or do you tend to think about it forever until the opportunity goes away?
Algorithms can be cracked and you can tweak yours to your liking - so that it gives you the results you want.
Now, let’s go back to timing for a little bit.
One thing the right timing allows you to do is get in on opportunities early. And almost every single time, that allows you to get the best deal.
And right now, you’re in front of an opportunity just like that.

Don’t let your current situation stop you from learning something new.
